We're not asking you to give up your weekends or commit to a rota. We're asking you to look at the job board when you have spare time — and if something nearby fits, to claim it and get it done.
Most jobs are two to four hours. They need basic tools. They require no materials coordination. They involve one person, one problem, one solution. The difference it makes to the person on the receiving end is enormous.

Register your company and pledge a number of volunteer days per year. Your team picks up jobs as a crew. You get recognition as a Community Trades supporter — not advertising, recognition.
Two working days a year per company. That's it. For a small plumbing firm that's a few jobs. For a larger contractor it could be a team day that your people talk about for years.

What a company pledge looks like
Small plumbing firm (3 staff)
2 days = ~4 jobs per year
Mid-size carpentry company (10 staff)
2 days = ~10–15 jobs per year
Regional contractor (50+ staff)
2 days = a full volunteer team day
No fee. No contract. Just a pledge and the will to follow through.
What we ask of you
Confirm you hold valid public liability insurance
That's it. If you're already trading, you almost certainly have this. You just confirm it when you register. We don't make it complicated — this is the same check a client would do before hiring you.
Treat people with dignity
The people you'll be helping are vulnerable. They may be elderly, disabled, or terminally ill. Show up when you say you will. Be respectful. Be kind. That's the whole code of conduct.
Submit a short completion report
When the job's done, upload a photo and write two sentences about what you did. This closes the loop for the referral partner, and your story helps recruit the next volunteer.
